There seems to be some doubt about the validity of this genus, as it was only created in 1997 (by the same people who described the Dixonius geckos. Both cases are similar: a species (or two) was removed from the genus Phyllodactylus and raised to genus level. Whether this will stand the test of time remains to be seen.
